Finally upgraded my stock radio!

Well I researched all the double DIN choices here, I can't say I know the difference in features as there are so many, but I settled on this one mostly because I thought the display text looked the largest and easiest to read in daylight. I didn't want to spend more for the fancy touch screen ones. So far the display brightness has not been an issue, but it's only been 24 hours. The stereo does not have a dimmer wire, but has a easy dim button, so ok I guess.
All seem to have a standard set, like color changing display, bluetooth, USB. Some reviews complained about the AM radio, but I just plugged the antenna in and it works fine. I would say I think the stock radio had stronger reception compared to this one, but I think the sound on FM sounds better on this Kenwood. Lucky my antenna is still the standard Motorola one so no harness was required.
Sound quality otherwise is tough to say, I think FM is better than stock, but CD/Bluetooth sound good, but just as good as the factory unit. I don't turn it up, so cannot comment much on the power. I feel the stock speakers are weak link and the next to upgrade!
Install was fairly easy, toughest was the two trim pieces to fill the leftover gap, the plastic was too thick and I had to drill them a bit to make the screw fit. Glad there was some youtube videos showing the install otherwise I would not have attempted it.
I mounted the mic near my vent because I could hide the wire, the clarity for a phone call seems ok given this placement, but I know I could have improved by moving to the steering column, but I just don't want to see any wires.
All in all very happy with the purchase... I finally got bluetooth!

A: It does come with the harness to plug into the radio , you will however need to purchase a harness to plug into the vehicle . All other parts should be in box ,the trim, and the hands free mic.

Q: Will this fit into my 2005 GMC Yukon SLT shorty 4-door that has the Bose system? I assume that I will have to purchase some adaptor kits, especially if I want the steering wheel controls to work. Will I be able to use my iPod Classic with this unit?

A: The radio will fit with the proper install parts . You will need a ant adapter, Mounting kit , and a interface control box that will interface to the bose system and steering wheel controls. You will be able to use you iPod Classic with the 3.5 jack . USB may be able to control you will have to test .

A: This will fit this vehicle but will need a custom dash kit and wire harness, and some dash modification will need to be done. Better option is to go with a single din radio for this vehicle.

A: You can make this stereo fit but it will take some filing of the car's trim panel in addition to adding a wire harness and dash kit.
