I love my cheap jvc car stereo. The best thing about it is the usb. Works great with a cd, but you can't beat the convenience of a usb drive!! Awesome adjustment ability. Pretty awesome for $100.00. Even better if it goes on sale

Q: Is there a list of models it is compatible with?

A: The JVC KD-R540 is a standard 1DIN sized aftermarket car stereo. As such, with the appropriate dash mounting kit (if necessary), antenna adapter (if necessary) and vehicle wiring harness (to ease in installation), it should be compatible with nearly all vehicles on the market. The dash kits, wiring harnesses and antenna adapters vary in price depending on the specific vehicle.

Q: does this item have everything? what i mean is does it have the full kit needed to put it in a chevy malibou as that is what i have and i have the stock stereo with casset tape player as well so i need a stereo that will be able to replace my current audio unit

A: No Car CD player at any store comes with the wiring kit needed to install it in a car, They come with wires, but you need to purchase a wiring kit seperately. Canadian tire sells these kits as well and they are specific to the type of car and the manufacturer.
