I would like to amend or delete my earlier review (06/17/2023) that found fault with your product. I have purchased Ivory bar soap several times in the interim and it's everything it always was. I guess you guys must've tested a formula change and then changed back to original. In any case, please remove my earlier review if possible,

Disappointed

I am disappointed in the new formula for Ivory Soap Bars. They melt differently so that the middle of the bar melts through first, eventually leaving a bar that is broken in two pieces. It’s so annoying that I end up tossing the broken pieces and replacing it with a new bar much sooner than expected. Also, the new packaging seems wasteful. After a lifetime of Ivory Soap purchases, I’ll be buying a different brand in the future.

Please stop marketing as "original" this soap smells different, has a different texture and does not float!

While our Ivory Original bar is now made with plant-based cleansers, it remains dermatologist tested, gentle on skin, and 99.44% pure, meaning it continues to be made with the same high standard of purity Ivory is known for. Because of this update, some people may notice changes in the texture or that the bar no longer floats. The use of plant-based ingredients may also slightly change the scent profile compared to previous formulas. While the formula has evolved, it still provides the rich lather and gentle cleansing Ivory is known for. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and your feedback helps us continue improving our products.

Stopped buying a couple of years ago when P&G silently changed the formula. Totally different soap: doesn't rinse well and leaves an itchy residue. Seems everyone agrees: all legit reviews are 1-star; only compensate reviews are positive. I found a great replacement, but still wish legitimate Ivory was still available.

This says original but it has clearly changed. This new formula is terrible. It caused me to have a lot of break outs. I have always used the real original ivory soap in the past. Now I can’t use it anymore. It’s very frustrating. It doesn’t deserve any stars.
