Buyer beware Avoid CT if you have Lordco or NAPA available.

Didn't use it! Didn't open the package! Ended up taking my vehicle to a mechanic. Normally unopened return policy is 3 months. Small print on the CT sales slip limited this item to 14 days! Another retailer graciously took it back for me

Yes i have owned the same timing light 3551 for many years. Only used less than a handful of times. And now the one day i go to use it it doesnt turn on....no warranty past a year really sucks

Best timing light. I have the older model and it's been in use for 8 years. Have sync'd ignition timing on over 500 vehicles with it. Highly recommended especially for use with aftermarket ECU's, when you don't want an advance timing light.

Q: Will the timing light work on 6 volt automotive system?

A: This timing light will work on 6 volt system. The only way to make it work is use a separate 12volt supply to power the timing light. As the other connections will be the same. As for the code reader I am not sure what is the part number but if it does not have obd1 hook ups that means you cannot use it on obd1 vehicles.

A: Unfortunately this model will not work on 2 stroke engine. The 3551 Timing light does not support 2 cycle/stroke engines. Our 5568 timing light will work on 2 cycle/stroke engines.
