Leaks and a Short Life Span

Bought this unit and it leaked from day one. The suction motor quit after 2 years and very little use. Definitely will not be buying another hoover product!

I bought this carpet cleaner to replace a 30 year old one The New machine works very well and cleaned my carpet way better then expected. The automatic detergent mixing is nice and the clean and dirty water tanks are very easy to remove and replace.

I purchased another model 5 years aho called a “Smart Wash Pet Automatic Carpet Cleaner”. It worked fin until recently when water started leaking out of of it. Upon investigation, I found that the water pressure solenoid died. That part controlled the water on & off and is an electical run part from the movement of the wheels. When going forward it turns on and applies the water while shampooing and when going back it turns the water off while the vaccum draws up the dirty water from the carpet. That part was hard to find and when I finally did fin one, it was $70.00!! Plus unless you are good at fixing things and have lots of time to talk the machine apart, it was just not worth it once I saw this model carpet cleaner on sale at Canadian Tire for only $139.00(I actually paid $329.99 for my old Smart Wash Pet plus tax for total of $373.00). So it was a no brainer to just buy this new one. What I REALLY like about this one is that it has a simple trigger on that control the on & off of the water, no expensive electricle used! I have only used it once, that is why I gave it 4 starts and not 5. But it worked very good and for price, well worth it. I would recommend, no problem.

A: No, the the shampoo goes in a separate container. Very pleased with this shampooer. This machine cleans very well and I like that you can wash and rinse while cleaning

Q: I just purchased the Hoover power Scrub Deluxe Pet, 1st use, cleans ok, but as I used the machine, it developed a high pitch screeching noise, what can cause this? Looking at returning item. noise is very irritating.

A: Thank you, called HooverCanada customer service. Talked to Nancy, it appears machine could have a problem, will return and get a new one, hoping new one is better. Great customer service.

A: I find that it dries okay takes a little longer than the other machines maybe but it goes through detergent like crazy. However it cleans way better than the other machines

A: We have 1 dog and find that it does a good job of cleaning our area rugs. I vacuum first to get as much dog hair as I can but this carpet cleaner does a good job of getting deeper down into the carpet. It also works well for cleaning the arms of my couch and upholstered chairs. I would highly recommend.

A: In my opinion No…. With the way the scrubbers circulate to clean I would think the shag fibres would wrap around them and get snagged thus ruining your carpets
