Hoover Cordless Lightweight Stick Vacuum

Great purchase, light weight, great suction, easy to empty, battery lasts for about an hour when fully charged. We have mostly hardwood floors (a few area rugs), no kids and no pets. We found it to be good value for the price.

We purchased 3 of these vacuums for our medical office. One if them had the battery completely died within 2 months and required a replacement. On this one. You can see the hose completely broke apart. Unit is now useless. Extremely dissatisfied with these vacuums

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I really wanted to love this vacuum, as my current one is corded. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. Let's start with the positives. The battery charges fairly quickly, and it lasts long enough to vacuum quite a few rooms. The vacuum is lightweight, but as all stick vacuums, it carries the weight high up because of the battery, so it can still be a bit hard on the wrists if used for long. Unfortunately, what they did wrong is that they made the actual vacuum head too light. It's so light that it wiggles left and right while vacuuming, and also doesn't put enough pressure onto the floor to actually vacuum deep. It can only pick up most, but not all surface dirt and crumbs, and only on the higher setting. The lower setting is practically useless. That being said, it works well on hard floors, because it doesn’t scatter the dirt and crumbs around like some vacuums do, so if you only have hard flooring, this ciuld be a good option for you. I find the two attachments perfect, as they're the most useful ones, and I really never use all the attachments that come with some vacuums. It's a good option for hard to reach areas, like under and behind furniture, or as I’m showing here, on the stairs. Overall, I would choose a different one if I was buying a vacuum. I was surprised, because Hoover is generally a great brand. Sadly, they need to rethink this design.

We purchased 3 of these vacuums for our medical office to clean hard floor surfaces between patients. One of the vacuums, the battery completely died after just 2 months and we had to replace it. On another one, as you can see from the photo. The hose completely broke apart and thus the debris is just spread around when trying to vacuum. The debris canisters are difficult to seat after cleaning and the bottom gets easily clogged. I would never recommend this vacuum.
