Its Protec® Antimicrobial Treatment prevents mould and bacteria growth, while the blue pre-filter layer traps large particles for fresher mist. Designed for efficiency, it captures minerals to reduce white dust. Replace your filter every 1–2 months for optimal moisture output and to maintain a healthier home environment.

Q: Why do these filters have a chemical odor when removed from the packaging and permeates the room air when in use? It is unpleasant!!!

Q: Is this the Honeywell HC-14N with stiffening outer layer, like the original, or the HC-14 cheaper version that just collapses becoming unusable once it gets wet? Both are "E" on the cartons.
