Did not work for the homemade bread we made. Blade was off centre and it cut the slices crooked and had a hard time cutting through the crust. Would probably be fine for soft crusted breads.

Excellent knife, but needs protective sheaf.

Very pleased with this knife. The only complaint I have is that it should have a sheath for it. Very sharp knife and there is only a small insert for the tip. One has to be careful inserting the tip in this, not easy, especially for someone who does not have the dexterity anymore. For that reason I'm only giving it 4 stars.
