Hatchimals Fabula Forest Tigrette

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hatchimal is actually a lot of fun to watch. It definitely takes a while, so young kids get pretty bored waiting for it.... but the lights and sounds it makes while getting ready hatch are entertaining (even for adults!). I wouldn't recommend a Hatchimal to someone with young children. There are a lot of small pieces that come off the "shell" when it finally does hatch. Adult assistance is definitely required once it hatched because the Hatchimal is attached to some kind of base inside the egg. My husband had difficulty getting our Hatchimal off that base and there is no way my 5 year old could have done it herself. Then there is the glitter.....oh my...... yes, the egg is sparkly and pretty covered in that glitter, but when you have 2 children carrying it around the house waiting for it to hatch, you end up with glitter EVERYWHERE. I would say this you is probably better for older kids and it is fun watching it hatch (yes, the adults were fascinated with it too), but the "fun" wore off about 3 days after hatching. The moods and games take time to figure out and are difficult for young kids to learn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were so excited when this arrived! My 5 year old was ecstatic and my 9 and 11 year olds were interested. After it hatched, my youngest still plays with it. My older two lost interest. It is rather complicated so my youngest needs help figuring out its moods.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely not worth all the hype. Once we got it out of the shell, my 5 year old played with it for about an hour and hasn’t picked it up again. It is very tough to understand the hatchimal and shelost interest quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old daughter was jumping up and down once she opened the package. She couldn't wait for the hatchimal to hatch. It took us a few times reading the directions to finally get the hang of hatching. Once hatched, my daughter loves playing with her new favorite toy. She takes it to soccer practice and loves having it repeat everything she says. I plan to purchase the 12 pack of hatchimal eggs for Christmas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 girls, 7 and 3, who really enjoyed playing with the Hatchimal on the first day though their interest waned after that. Here’s what they had to say: Nice packaging. Loud. Makes a mess hatching. Cute. A lot of things to do. Makes cute noises. Has beautiful wings. The sparkles are pretty but they didn’t like how they felt. They both played with it extensively the first day and the hatching experience is very cool. Helping the creature “grow” was fun for a few days but they lost interest in that aspect after that. They both felt it was too loud and could benefit from a volume control. It could also be a little bigger and softer to make it more cuddly. The fabric around the mechanism is too thin and the sparkly material too rough for snuggling. The online instructions with videos were great and much appreciated. At the price point for this toy though, I don’t see much value with its limited multiple uses.
