Now is September and my problem with leatherjacket got worse

Does not control leatherjackets

I tried this product on my lawn. I suspected we had grubs, but when we had the grass re-sodded by a landscaping company they confirmed that we in fact had a leatherjacket problem. We were told that it was the forst infestation he had ever seen in 20 years. We tried the nematodes and had no decline in leatherjackets. In fact, it seemed that the numbers only increased the following year.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you very much for your purchase and for taking the time to provide feedback. It is unfortunate that your experience was not to your satisfaction. Nematodes do have expiry dates on the globe and need to be kept refrigerated to survive until application. It is possible that the globe you purchased was already expired or rendered ineffective if not kept refrigerated. The Leather jacket nematodes do need to be applied yearly, ideally twice yearly to break the cycle. Below is a better explanation.
Apply Leather Jacket Buster throughout the spring, until end of June. After June Leather Jackets begin to pupate and emerge within a few weeks, with the bulk emerging middle of September, as the European Crane Fly. They live approx. one week to reproducing. Once they lay eggs on or in the soil they will die off. The eggs(280 per fly) incubate and will hatch in approx. 11 - 15 days. treating with Leather Jacket Busters in the middle of October should provide a full year of control.
To ensure maximum effectiveness, apply Green Earth Nematodes during optimum conditions. Best results are obtained when humidity is high, daily temperature is neither hot nor cold (15o to 25o C) , soil temperature is (13o to 28o C), soil is moist, and sunlight is minimal (overcast). Irrigate target site well, before and after application, to prevent drying, and aid movement through soil. In regular weather irrigate for a period of 3-4 days in drought increased to 7 days.

Worst Leatherjacket problem ever!

We have been battling a leatherjacket infestation since we moved into our house six years ago. We had to re-sod a portion of the lawn, and the landscaper told us that it was the worst he has ever seen. We have been using Green Earth Leatherjacket Buster as directed for the last little while (2 years I think), and there is no difference in the number of critters.
No, I do not recommend this product.
