Q: What does "directional Indicator" mean on winter tires? Once mounted on rims can I cross rotate them from one side to the other or do I have to keep the front and back tires always on the same side? Thanks
5 years agoA: Directional tires are designed to always rotate in the same direction because of their tread pattern. These tires should only be rotated from front to back, and vice-versa, on the same side of the vehicle. There are some benefits for this type of tire,such as being able to channel water quickly to prevent hydroplaning, great for handling snow or mud, offer a quiet ride, and are often more attractive to look at than other tires.
