    I'm going out to the store to buy a replacement for my previous genie bulb. It's acting up .. turning off and on intermittently. I assume it is a heat issue (bad cap or resistor). I bought it over 10 years ago, closer to 15 years ago. After setting it up on the app and connecting it to google I have never used the app again (don't remember the login I used about 4 phones ago). I used it every day all those years. best bang for the buck with bulbs so far.

    Q: What sort of range does this bulb have? My wifi has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz and I realize that 2.4GHz has potentially better range than 5GHz.

      A: Hello, the range of the device from the router to function properly should not more than 15 feet. It's true, all Geeni devices are designed to only work for 2.4 GHz for a wider range unlike 5 GHz that cannot penetrate walls and floors. Since you are using a dual-band, you can ask assistance to your internet service provider to separate the 2 Networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) for them to have different SSID so you can connect your device to 2.4 GHz networks and connecting your smart light using AP mode.     Q: I would like to be able to dim these by voice via Alexa/Echo. Is this possible? I see in some other replies “dimmable through the Geeni app” but would prefer to find a bulb that I don’t need another app for. Can these integrate to Alexa and dim by voice?

    Q: Can you schedule multiple actions in turn? For example, dim the light at 8pm, turn it off at 10pm, come on dim at 6am, fully brighten at 6.30am and off at 8am?

      A: UPDATE: You can set and adjust brightness levels in automated scenes and set them to trigger at a certain time or even based on the sunset and sunrise time in your area. You can do exactly what you stated in your example! Dimming option in scenes is not yet available. This is something we can request from our developers and hopefully it will be added in future updates.     Q: According 2 info from the web, Geeni bulbs should be able to connect to the Tuya smartlife app. When I try, with the bulb in pairing mode and trying to add to Smartlife, it stops flashing but never connects. have tried in EZ mode and AP mode no luck help?

    Q: I have 2 island light fixtures. Do I need to buy 2 light bulbs or can I have one smart bulb and one regular? Can one smart bulb control both light fixtures? The light fixtures are on one light switch. This might be silly question but I'm new to this.
