It worked "okay" for about a month, not too noisy. The heat was okay but it wasnt very strong. It's good if the weather isn't too cold and windy outside and you already have baseboard heat, but if it hits a certain level of coldness its practically useless. Anyway, we were getting good use out of it for the past few weeks and suddenly it stopped working. Nothing fixes it. We only had it for about a month or so. Tried taking it apart to see if perhaps there was dust inside, not really, just vaccumed off the outside dust and then they build it so you cant open it up properly to see if you can fix it from the inside.. they screwed somethign on from the inside which completely defeates the purpose of having screws outside of it

Not for very cold areas

Bought this heater to use outside in a garage but it appears if the air is too cold the heater does not do much unless you're sitting right beside it. I wish it would have worked because it seems to be fairly good quality and I like how it has the eco setting and the ability to change the temperature. It would be okay if you were using it to perhaps boost the heat in your house or if it were a smaller (indoor) area it would work well but it definitely does not do the job for very cold areas. I am planning on returning it and trying another one, hopefully more luck next time.

Not good at all

Bought this heater for a chilly basement. It throws off so little heat that it made absolutely no difference to the temperature in that room. The only way you would be able to keep warm with this thing is if you were huddled around it. Took it back 2 days later and bought an oil filled heater that works great. Dont waste your money on this thing.

I purchased this heater 2 yrs ago and still going strong. I have a small oil heater. Which takes so long to warm a room. I'm heading out to get another Garrison Mini heater for my basement. Love it warms the room very fast and has 5 temp and 3 heat setting one which is eco. Great buy. I would recommend this heater.

Q: space heater hello, i am very curious to know how engery efficient a space heater may be? i would like to purchase one, perhaps two, to heat my apartment to help cut costs on energy bill. any feedback woud be greatly appreciated. thank you

A: I just bought this particular heater and it had an eco setting on it. Basically you chose a temperature and when the ambient temperature of the room reaches that point the heater will begin to only use enough energy to maintain the temperature instead of constantly trying to heat the room more. You can also chose if you want it to run on 900 or 1500 W which may help reduce the energy usage if you run it on 900W. Hope this helps a little.
