Peace of mind

I ride motorcycle in a lot of places with no cell service. I bought it mostly for the SOS feature. Hopefully I will never have to use ti but it is peace of mind for myself and my wife when I am out on the bike.

Almost useless as a communication device - unable to get it to connect to satellites consistently, and Bluetooth connection with phone is spotty.
Sent a message to my wife and she got it 3 days later.
Keeping it for the SOS feature, but will get rid of it after the AT

I have had this for 5 years and it’s been good. It still works. Although I would say it is getting a lot long in the tooth in 2026. I would recommend purchasing the newest model you can afford. And if that is the mini2, don’t. Save up for a mini3.

Bought the fist one. Wouldn’t hold a charge for more then two days , sent it back and the second one is the same way kind of useless on a hunting trip

Q: Just purchased an in reach mini and my box says for iPhone, iPad or iPod? I have another type of phone and it never had option of picking phone type? How do you charge it? Do I need a Garmin adapter or can I use anything that has a USB plug to wall

- A: Hello Kimmer. The Inreach Mini is compatible with both IOS and Android devices and you would install the Inreach companion app called Earthmate. The charging adapter is supplied with the unit and is a standard USB-Micro cable. It can also be used as a stand alone unit for communication and SOS if you wished6 years agoHelpful?
