    Poor Construction/Design

The first mop I grabbed at the store was jammed. The sliding sleeve on the shaft was stuck. I bought a different mop which was sliding freely. After one use at home, the mop head would not stay on the mop. The mophead is supposed to come off since its only held on by velcro. One side of the velcro, Hook I think, is glued to the mophead and adheres to the Loop side which is glued to the mop. Unfortunately, the glue (or what little glue there was) failed and the mophead was no longer attached to the velcro. Whenever the mophead was squeezed, the mophead fell off. The velcro attached to itself perfectly but the glue as the weak link in the chain. The mop needs either better/more adhesive for the velcro or a different method of securing the mophead to the mop. My next step is to let the mop dry and then use Gorilla Glue to attach the velcro to the mophead.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Interesting Design but Flawed

The Frank Quick mop offers a clever design but there are problems. It is good for quick damp wipes but not for more thorough cleaning. The mop sponge holds too much water compared to other squeeze-style sponge mops. You cannot squeeze enough water out of it. As a result, I tend to push the Frank Quick sponge against the bathtub wall or to shake out excess water in the bathtub. It has a low profile so it is easy to get under beds and low standing furniture but the pivoting head rotates about too easily so it is hard to control the orientation of the mop head. It flips and flops on its own. It is not good for hard scrubbing or in corners. The sponge folds in the middle as part of the design to squeeze out water but this means the ends of the sponge fold up off the floor too easily making it hard to apply even pressure or to get deep into corners. I found it tended to leave wet globs of hair, dirt, and dust in the corners that needed to be wiped up later with a cloth. So far the head has detached once from the pivoting mechanism but I was able to put it back on. Basically, it needs a locking mechanism and/or greater friction to effectively manage the free rotation of the mop head and it needs to be able to squeeze more water out of the sponge.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Mop head How do you clean the mob head. It doesn't seem to come apart to clean or replace it.

    • A: Turn the mop upside down so the top of the handle touches the floor, then just grab a handful of the white cloth material and pull gently, up and towards the middle of the mop head. The white cloth is attached to a white ring which will snap off of the green circular part. Then you can throw the whole piece in the wash or replace it by doing these steps in reverse.
