Good tool for the price and use

Just purchased this as there were no dedicated sockets to fit the filter on my Mazda. It expands and fits the filter decently, slipping a little before grabbing properly and removing the filter. I think it would be great for hard to access filters and am looking forward to trying it on my Trailblazer. It won't install a filter - not meant to do that task, only removal (or it would have 5 stars)

Bad fitment.

Does not make good contact with oil filter. Just slips when you try to turn it. Would not recommend.

A good oil filter removal tool

I have had good results using this tool to remove oil filters that are on too tight for a cap wrench to remove. This tool has the advantage of being able reach into areas where there is not enough room to use filter pliers or strap wrenches. But, because of the way it is made, the jaws only tighten and grip when unscrewing the filter. The jaws will slip when installing and tightening an oil filter. So make sure you have room under your car to install the new oil filter by hand or by using the correct size cap wrench.

i dont understand the bad review i own this tool for more then 5 years and i use it often at my garrage its the best oil filter REMOVAL tool ive ever own. :)

That tool skip on the old oil filter, without doing anything... Don't waste your time and money on that tool!
