Q: how long does it stretch out i want to string it along my balcony railing

A: As a guess, I would say at least 20 feet or more. There is about 4 feet of wire between the solar panel and the first light, and between each light there is at least 3 feet if not more. I can't measure mine now since they are installed in a bush, but when I had them in a smaller bush, I had so much extra wire between each light, that I rolled it up and taped it in a little roll between each light.
