Nice but it's not white as expected

I bought this "white" microwave stand to match the appliances in my kitchen..... it is not. It's more of an off white, bone colour so it throws the look off. Instructions were easy to understand for the most part.

I purchased this at the Canadian Tire Store in North Bay for use at our cottage. I was able to put it together by myself, although the box is very heavy and so I needed to open the box in my car and bring the pieces in separately. I reviewed the instructions and organized the parts by their identifying letters and got to work. It took me about 4 hours (with breaks) and I only made one mistake that I had to go back and re-do. My advice is be patient and use the glue provided (labeled "C") wherever it is mentioned. The locks for the pins that tighten everything together can be tricky so go back and make sure they have caught before moving on to next step. Overall a solid cart that holds our microwave and other kitchen ware very well.

A: Hi Ivy, Yes,It is white color and the cabinet panels were mix of painted wood and melamine white particle board. All front panels are with white painting and all inner and side panels are with white melamine.

Q: Does the top cover have to be used?

A: The stand would be functional and stable without the top cover, however I don’t think the top edge is finished with the white finishing strip under the portion that the top piece would fit along the edge. So there would be a wood edge showing. I’m not 100% certain if this as I assembled it several months ago.
