A colossal messed up situation

I wanted this so bad but it just wasn’t meant to be.
There were no instructions in the box and the ones online connected to the item were for another island- the boards were not cut the same. I went back to the store and got the instructions. When I got home, I found that the nuts and bolts box matched the instructions online-again not for the way the boards were cut. Worst of all, I paid someone to come and build it for me so I still had to pay them.
I returned to the store and got the correct box of nuts and bolts from another box. The glue that was in the box was dried out which meant the wood pegs would not stay in. When the builder tried to stand it up, it fell over broken.
I finally returned the island and asked if I purchased another one of I could pay the store to put it together, they said that they do not have the staffing to build items.
All in all-
3 trips to the store
Paid someone to build it with no outcome
No island.
I am utterly disappointed!

A: No, it’s wood and will burn. You’ll need a heat-insulated pad or pan rest.

A: I guess you could, but it wouldn’t be as easy as just popping some on. You would have to account for the support leg under the centre of the lower shelf. The supports for the table top on the side opposite the shelves are not fixed in the open position, so you would need to secure those prior to adding casters. The size of those legs is smaller than those under the shelving, so that might pose a problem if you wanted uniform sized casters.

A: You probably can, but it would change the height of the unit. I put 3'' sliders for linoleum under mine, I can slide it against the wall to make room, or slide it out to use as an island when needed.

A: If your back seats will fold down, it should fit. If not take out of the box. It is heavy, solid wood. Best purchase we have ever made.! It is so worth buying.
