These make cutting pretty much anything very easy. I cut wire, thick plastic, thin metal, chicken wire with ease.

sliding lock button

Great tool. I've used it for cutting everything from thick rubber underlay to thin sheet metal. The plastic case is too week near the belt clip so I have avoided trying to wear it on my belt while I work. My main problem is with the orange sliding thumb tab that locks/unlocks the spring action. I thought Fiskars was playing a joke on me when I first opened the package and tried to use one thumb to slide the orange lock release back. I couldn't even slide it with TWO hands to unlock the scissors! Some WD-40 and more grunting finally got it to move. After working it back and forth several times I can now slide the lock release with one thumb.
