Waste of Money

I should have read the reviews before I bought this element. As several people have noted, there is no gasket for the face plate of the element. If you install this element without finding a gasket somewhere, you will be cleaning up a mess of water. Buy one at another hardware store. Most other makes include the gasket. Canadian Tire please take note of the common thread of these reviews.

Hot water element

Bought 2 and 1 was defective, water was leaking from the black hard plastic part of the electric connector. Had to purchase a 3rd.

Poor fit.

The element does not have a flat flange causing a poor seal with the tank. As well, the element does not come with a flange gasket and the local CT did not have any in stock. I had to buy the gasket at another non-CT store. Even with the new gasket, the seal is not perfect and causing a minuscule leak. I imagine I will have to replace this element soon with another brand with the proper flange face.
