    Great Tool, Great Features

I bought this item 18 months ago. I never get my router out for simple edge breaking or ogee cutting. Used it the other day to cut my son-in-laws cattle brand into a wooden "growler" carrier for Christmas. I can't believe how great it turned out.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I picked up a Trios out of curiosity a half year ago out of curiosity and used it for several small scale odd jobs. It does a poor job compared to a full size router, but it can do a good job on small projects and serve as a good intro to routing wood. The two bits supplied are good for rounding off edges and creating thin dado joints. They perform adequately, but you need to make multiple passes with the Trios to soften an edge or create a slot. This is normal practice with even a small laminate router, but you will have to make even more passes to do the same job with a Trios. A Trios is good for doing free hand work, BUT I recommend some kind of jig or guide, especially if you are doing a dado. The real problem with these bits is they are soft. They are made of high speed steel and dull quickly even when you take your time and make multiple passes with soft woods like pine. Carbide bits last much longer, but I suppose that the bits would cost even more.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
