Double Fluorescent Wrap Light, 24 in.

Bought this to mount under a kitchen cupboard to allow me to keep/grow my fresh basil and other herbs on the kitchen counter. They must have changed this light, as contrary to the previous 2008 review, this light is a T8. Great for better efficiency, however not so great is trying to find a T8 bulb, it's still T12 everywhere!!! :S I'll keep looking :)

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Good light, but based on aging technology

It would have been better if it were using newer T-8 fluorescent (this product use T-12 fluorescent lamps) and used a more efficient electronic ballast instead of a magnetic one. But aside for such technical shortcomings, it provides a good working light and this item doesn't cost very much so it's still a good buy.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Could you use this light in a drop ceiling if you took off the cover? I need a smaller light than your typical 48'' to use in my suspended ceiling.

Q: Does this lamp take T12 or T8 fluorescent bulbs?

    1 Answer
    • A: This fluorescent can take either 2x17W T8 bulbs or 2x20W T12 bulbs. The T8 bulbs would give you the best efficiency.

Q: If the lighting is wired into the electrical, why is there a cord running out of the back of this in the picture?

    1 Answer
    • A: There shouldn’t be any wire showing as it is a hardwire item. We will have our online division update the photo.
