Thanks for your feedback. We regret any inconvenience you may have experienced. Per the product listing and all displayed information, this unit is a battery charger and not a jump starter. The 70A Engine Start function is effectively a battery boost, and as you note may not be enough to start a discharged battery in the winter.

Only have owned it a month or so and used to charge deep cycle (flooded lead-acid) batteries a few times. Has done the job just fine though.
Would be nice if it had manual override settings, but unfortunately all you can do is pick the battery type and it does the rest, which means you can’t perfectly match your battery’s manufacturer charging specs. It’s reasonably close for mine though, and a lot better than setting it manually and forgetting....
Oh one last thing: the product info online for charge times is misleading. Those times assume you charge at 70A the entire time. Which a) you can’t do and b) would be a terrible idea anyways.

Did not perform

Try charging 2 batteries on both time automatically change from charging to reconditioned, on each battery stayed that mode for two day and could not get to charge them. Had to take it back only got store credit. Shame on Dewalt even do I like the brand.
