We appreciate your feedback concerning this product. We would like to work with you to understand and resolve this matter. Please contact customerservice@baccusllc.com. This Battery Charger Maintainer will not activate, deliver DC current, or show any charging status if connected to an SLA battery with less than 2.1 to 2.4 volts, it must detect at least 2.1 to 2.4+ volts from the battery as well as current flow, battery must be in working order.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hooked it up to a car battery to maintain its charge. It took a while but did charge the battery. It seems a bit flimsy, so don’t know how long it will hold up. But, so far it does what it is supposed to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow this is a great easy to use portable charger. We used this to get a friends ca started after the battery died due to non usage and within a short time the car was up and running again. Price point is good too making it affordable for most. This may be small but it’s sturdy and durable.

  • A: Yes - just make sure you have it secure somewhere so the cables don't end up getting tangled up or close to something moving or hot.

Q: How long to charge a 6v battery?

  • A: How long it would take to charge a battery depends on the size (capacity) of the battery, the level of discharge and other factors like age and condition of the battery, temperature, etc. For perspective, a typical Group 1 6-volt battery (used in farm equipment and antique cars) would be about 50Ah so, discharged 50%, might take 10-15 hours to fully charge. Conversely, a 6-volt "golf cart" battery would be about 220 Ah so, discharged 50%, might take over 50 hours to fully charge. For obvious reasons, if your 6-volt battery is a golf cart type, we recommend a charger rated at least 5 amps, more ideally 20 amps.
