[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is so smooth and easy to trace rough framing or mud rings. Also easy to free hand cut outs.

in my opinion, dewalt are the best for drywall tool like the drywall screwdriver (after hilti which is 10 time the price tag) notice the quick stop button at the end of the tool with it you can turn it off with one hand easily it's very usefull when you need to hold something you cutted with one hand and you want to stop the tool to be sure you dont break anything

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I have had this tool for a couple of years. I've used it to cut wood and drywall and it works great. It took a bit of getting used to it to get the cuts straight, but It does a great job.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: 3/16 collet? I have a bunch of 3/16 bits but this thing only has a 1/8 and 1/4 collet. Do i have to buy all new bits now?

    1 Answer
    • A: The DEWALT DW660 requires either 1/8” and ¼” cutout bits to be used. It does not accept 3/16” bits & there is not a collet available to be used with this model.

Q: Where can you buy extra bits for this tool Rotozip bits stocked at Canadian Tire do not fit.

    1 Answer
    • A: The DW660K (DEWALT Drywall cut out tool), comes with a 1/8" & 1/4" collet. Depending on the RotoZip accessory purchased it may not fit as Rotozip has typically 3 collet sizes(1/8”, 5/32”, and ¼” collets) for use with their accessories.

Q: how thick wood will this tool cut? Will this tool do the work of a jigsaw?

    1 Answer
    • A: 1) This will depend on the length of accessory bit, depth of the cut out bit inserted into the collet, & with the recommended 1/8” past the material to be cut as there is no offial rating. · When equipped with the proper bit, the DW660 will cut drywall, ceramic tile, plywood, laminates, flake board, acoustic ceiling tile, fiberglass, Plexiglas, Lexan, cement board, paneling, and plaster. 2) We don’t recommend substituting this for the work of a Jigsaw / Sabre saw.
