DeLonghi Stilosa Espresso Maker, 15-Bar Pump, Black

This device seems well made and looks good, but falls short in one respect, from my viewpoint. I like to make a double shot for a tall latte. Coffee guides recommend 18 gms of ground coffee for a double shot. My old coffee maker took the 18 gms and made a good strong shot. I used the measurer/tamper that come with the DeLonghi and the measure only holds about 10 gms, with a 'flat top' load. Rounded up it manages about 12 gms, which is pretty much all the machine can handle. I can adapt to that with smaller lattes or pulling a double, followed by a single, shot. But if you like robust double shots, you might want to shop around a bit more. Otherwise, it is an adequate machine. Similarly if you are pulling double shots you might have to wait between the two shots as neither the hot water, nor the steam for foaming milk, has the capacity that I prefer, so you may have to wait for the heater to give you enough hot water. Perhaps I will find a better way of managing things, but I wish I had been able to discover this without having to buy the machine. If these limitations are not a problem for your coffee-making, then it seems like a decent machine, priced well below a lot of the competition.

This is our third one. It makes good espressos (we use Starbucks espresso roast). They last about 5 years (hence 4 stars instead of 5).

We bought this back in August 2025. Easy to use and maintain.

We opened the box and tried it as per the instructions to "wash" two times and the water would not drain. Returned back to the store only to be that it cannot be returned and would to take another.
