Easy Pop Hot Air Popcorn Maker

Bought this for a healthier popcorn snack without oils or perservatives from microwave popcorn. The unit works really well but it can throw kernals out when its popping. Minor issue but it does happen. The resulting popcorn is very good

Kernels tend to jump out during the heating process, unpopped. I use the measure cup provided and also tried a little less to see if it would help. The popped corn is fluffy and abundant, but I don’t like wasting kernels, or chasing them down on the counter and floor. I like the capacity (especially if all the kernels popped). Cooling function is interesting but maybe not needed.

Returned, disappointed by performance

My previous hot air popper had a deeper well for kernels and a higher arch on the lid. The kernels stayed in until they got warm enough to pop. This popper had a very wide and shallow lid and threw many kernels out before they popped. Plus the ones at the bottom didn't pop. It also had kind of a burned taste. I was disappointed since I have had so many good Cuisinart products.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A little wasteful, but beats the alternative

We have thoroughly enjoyed our new air popper. The first couple of batches we made with it were with some older kernels and they didn't pop very well. We bough a new jar of fresh kernels and they popped better, but still wasted a couple of tablespoons worth of kernels. Still, much healthier than microwave popcorn and much tidier than stovetop, so the good far outweighs the bad, overall.
