So far so good!

Went together very nicely but definitely had the right person for the job ;) Haven't had it long but....... Works beautifully and looks great. (My neighbour thinks it's really cute.) Grill surface is deeper than normal so surprisingly large area. Got it on a great sale. Word of warning to the vertically challenged, like myself: Beware the hot surface when raising the lid. Burned my wrist first use. Won't happen again though!

Close but no cigar!

I've had this BBQ for two years and use it a lot. The size, temperature range, grates, and general design are 5 out 5! I wish I could say the same about the ceramic flavor bars. First of all the stainless steel frames for the ceramic pucks are poorly made. The surface area simply isn't big enough, and it's falling apart. I had to secure it together a few screws. Flare ups are common and you have to be vigilant. Replacement cost for parts is ridiculous.
Solution..... I think I'll purchase some stainless steel flavour bars and cut to size. Had these deficiencies been tested and modified prior to sale it would have have scored high. Now, if only there was a side burner :-(

Despite some of the negative reviews, I went ahead and bought this when it went on sale. I had a previous "stainless" BBQ, but the pan or tub portion of the BBQ was only painted steel. As such, after 7 years, the bottom literally rusted off. This Cuisinart one has a stainless pan; only the base panels are not stainless (except the door); I'm expecting much longer life from this unit. My experience with the ceramic tiles has been great - after about a dozen barbeques, I take out the two ceramic flame tamer assemblies, hold each over a garbage can, and scrape gently until most of the burnt material is gone. No troubles with the ignition that others have commented about, and to my surprise, the thermometer on the cover is actually correct! The fold-down side tables make it fit in a very small footprint, and I can put them into the upright position with one hand. I'm impressed with the cast iron grilles; seasoned properly, they should outlast every other component of this BBQ.

Ceramic Heat Technology is a Bust

If you have this bbq for more than one year. The bricks turns into small pieces and it's casing rusts beyond the point it is no longer useable. Cuisinart did not put enough time into this product. If they have tested this product for more than six months they would have known that this technology is a bust. It probably one of the reasons you CT now tested their products. Cuisinart and/or CT should buy back the bbq or provide an alternative fix to this problem.

Ceramic Inserts don't last , like cooking on this bbq but ceramic not durable

Have had this BBQ for less than 2 years , ceramic inserts are falling out and worn thin. Any little movements now they fall out, new kit is are half price of bbq,..
