Simply very well built grass mover

I replace my 12 yr old MTD 22" mower with this Canadian tire CERTIFIED 21" 4 stroke Lawn mower. Comparing 2 I found certified Mower as below.. 1. Runns smoothly, even at lowest settings engine didn't over loaded. 2. Cosumed half gas compare to my MTD 3. Easy to manipulate cornering, cerculation etc. 4. Mulching discharge was quite good. Over all I'm happy with functionally at this price.

It took two pulls to start it the first time. It started on the first pull next time. Only used it twice to date, but I’m pleased with its performance. I was going to buy the cheaper $229 model, since I don’t bag clippings, but this is a much more robust model. It has bigger wheels and the cut height is easily set with the flick of a lever to 7 positions.

Q: why does it blow smoke when I start it up.

A: The piston sits horizontally. It’s normal for lawn mower engines to sometimes puff a little smoke, oil can sometimes slip by the piston or valves. Don’t sweat it. It’s not a car engine. Change oil once and check the level once before mowing. You’ll be fine. Also make sure your air filter is clean and fits tight. Dirt causes engines to burn oil faster.

A: I’ve never used it. Mulching is best for greener lawn anyway, letting the groans go out the side seems to just make a mess around fences.

A: I’d get a master craft socket tool set if you haven’t already. Look for the long socket with the rubber gasket. Or find a socket that fits, very easy. Remove spark plug wire first, just tug it.
