Stopped working after 2 months

This AC unit looks clean and polished. It worked well for 2 months. However, after 2 months of use, it stopped working and I’ve had to return it. Wouldn’t recommend for a long-term cooling solution. It was also quite pricey in comparison to the other AC units that were available, I would say it isn’t worth it.

Q: What are the draining requirements? How do i do this and.how does it work? My Air conditioner keeps smelling musty? I only use it as an air conditioner and when i turn it off i can and water in it, how else do i clean the unit?

  • A: It will accumulate a little water in Cool mode - just bought last week, been using it 3 days now it makes about 3 tbsp of water per 9 hours in this weather (26C-30C moderate humidity) could be more when it gets real muggy - I suggest letting it out daily by pulling the drain plug and letting it drip into a cup - it's not much water but it could get smelly if allowed to sit there. Unfortunately you can't tilt this unit backwards because some water leaks out the lower intake but even partial drain means the remainder will dry out sooner on it's own.

  • A: If used as a air conditioner then YES you will need to drain the unit from time to time. More water will accumulate on more humid days. There is not a “tray” , but just a plug that would be opened to drain water. As mentioned in another answer, you can use the hose, but it works on gravity. The unit will need to be placed higher than the hose.

Q: how long is the exhaust tube?

  • A: Hi. The exhaust hose fully extended is 5 feet. (60 inches.) Very sturdy and bends really well to accomodate fitting into window. It's a really good little unit and cooled down a much larger area than I expected. Hope this helps!

  • A: Hello. I'm not sure what might be the issue - I don't have any problem with mine - mine works perfectly - I love it. The only thing I can think of is - to be sure that you have it set on COOL? And not just FAN or DEHUMIDIFY? I made that mistake very early on - when I was getting used to the remote control. And mistakenly had it on Fan - instead of Cook. But when it is set on 17 and COOL - it works perfectly and consistently. The only other thing I can suggest - if your remote control setting isn't the issue - is that you reach out to Comfee directly?

  • A: No. It switches to fan mode. Can also program it to shut off at night and remotely power it on or off.

  • A: Well, it's rated for 824W, at 115V, so it would top out at 7.1A, though unless it's running flat out, you likely wouldn't see it draw that consistently.
