This is my second one picked it up on clearance, this marine cooler lid fit is much better than colmans new design, 10 day trip with 9 blocks of ice in july heat and i dumped ice out when i got home

A: It has no latch so I would say no. The cooler is robust and keeps cold very well but if batted around by a bear....it would open very easily
