Product Details

The Coleman 100W Solar Panel Kit is an ideal emergency power source for off-grid use, RVs, boats, and remote locations. This rugged kit includes a 100W solar panel with aluminum frame and shatterproof glass that can withstand outdoor conditions. It efficiently converts sunlight into 12V DC power stored in 12V batteries, protected from overcharging by the included 7A charge controller. The 300W power inverter converts the 12V DC into 110-120V AC to run small appliances and electronics. With the ability to generate 100W and 5.8A, this solar panel kit provides renewable energy where grid power is inaccessible. The integrated diode prevents battery discharge at night. Fully weatherproof and portable with the stand, the solar panel kit delivers power anywhere the sun shines.

  • Coleman 100W Solar Panel Kit with Stand is ideal for emergency back-up, RVs, boats, off-grid installations, and remote power use

  • Rugged aluminum frame and shatterproof tempered glass

  • Integrated blocking diode protects the battery from discharge at night

I bought it on sale for a in store special and love it. I've been using it as a diy solar project for outages and it has passed my expectations for the price tag. Got it for $200 on sale.

why is this rated for 100W

The specification tab shows this product operates at 12 Volts and a max amperage of 6 amps. That is 72 Watts DC not 100 W. To reach 100 Watts this panel would need to operate at 16.6 volts, which is 33% higher than rated. what is the voltage and amperage at standard test condition solar irradiance (1,000 watts/ m2)? seems

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is quite simple. In our industry along with many others, you nominally describe a product i.e. 12V. This defines the other components such as the battery and charge controller. If the panel actually produced 12V then it would not even charge a 12V battery. You will see in the manual and on the product sticker the actual working voltage is 18-22 VDC. SunforceCSR

Great unit - tops up trailer battery quickly

Have used this for years while camping. Tops up the trailer’s 12V lead-acid battery every day by mid-morning. The supplied controller, which connects the solar panel to the battery, prevents overcharging and is easy to connect. Panel is weatherproof but the controller is not - hence the 4-star review. I put a sandwich bag over it when it rains. Light weight and easily stored. (I suspect the bad “underwhelming performance “ review is fake. Solar panels need sunshine to work, right, so why try to run a LAMP with it?)

Q: With this kit can you add another 100W solar panel?

    1 Answer
    • A: You can add another solar panel, but you would need a larger charge controller as the amperage of the 2 panels would exceed 7amps. Please contact our support team directly for further assistance at 1-888 478 6435 or info@sunforceproducts.com

Q: What battery would be best for this system ?

    1 Answer
    • A: For this i would look at a deep cycle AGM battery, around 80 Ah at 12V

Q: Would this be ideal for a camping cooler?

    1 Answer
    • A: This is a little hard to determine as we do not know the power requirement of that cooler or if it can run of DC. Feel free to contact us directly and we can work out a solution info@sunforceproducts.com

Q: The inverter came with two 40 amp fuses. Where are they used?

    1 Answer
    • A: The inverter has a single spare fuse, this is to assist customers who connect the kit incorrectly and 'blow' a fuse on installation. This process is explained within the product manual.

Q: Will the controller charge LiFePO4 batteries?

    1 Answer
    • A: LiFePO4 batteries usually require a dedicated controller offering a specific setting for this technology. Currently this kit does not have this option.
