    A good inexpensive fix

After Hurricane Sandy destroyed some grommets on the tarp that covers our trailer I bought these. They worked great, just put them where you need them, and because the parts are rounded they shouldn't tear the fabric. A bit finicky to install, but once they're on they should not fall off. Will post a comment later to see how well they held up during the winter.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do

These tarp holders are amazing. They are easy to install, hold securely and don't have sharp edges that might rip the tarp. They could quite easily be used for tarps, burlap or any type of fabric as long as it's not too thick. The only reason I gave 4 stars for performance is because I am unsure whether the plastic becomes too brittle in the winter.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    life saver

These are a must for all canoeists who spend overnights in the bush. I've had to use these to secure down some tarps after a nasty wind storm left my tarps grommet-less. I replaced the missing grommets with these plastic ones and was able to keep my equipment safe from further destruction. Amazing little device that is light, small, stronger then the actual brass grommets, and really effective. They are also good if you would like to add a grommet anywhere on the tarp for more tie down strength or lifting the middle of the tarp to create a tipi. Well worth it.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: how do these grip hold onto the tarp. Bought these holders with added bungee straps to protect the cover on my hot tub for winter. I cannot figure out how to use them.

    • A: The Coghlan’s #9190 Tarp Clips are attached to a tarp using the following procedure: 1. Place disc under material. 2. Fit top ring in groove of disc over the material. Snap tongue in place over the material locking the disc into place. 3. The material will not be sandwiched in between the disc and the groove of the tarp clip.
