The Certified Snowblower Replacement Shear Bolt 5/16 x 1.75-in (0.8 x 4.4cm) is designed to fit most Troy-Bilt, Yardworks and Yard Machines 2-Stage Snowblowers with 1-in (2.5cm) auger shaft (2004 and earlier). This 4-pack shear bolt set replaces MTD #710-0380 and #710-0891. Note that snowblower augers are secured with shear bolts and lock nuts. Through use, these will break or shear. Insert new shear bolts through the hole in the auger shaft and secure with lock nuts. Make sure to disconnect the spark plug wire and place it where it cannot contact the plug before servicing your snowblower.
