Got it on sale and it extends high enough and clips thick branches with ease.. also saws super easy... quality is fine for home owner jobs.... i used it mainly without the saw even attached.. when i needed to saw a huge branch i screwed on the saw and that was it....

Cheap plastic

I was pruning my trees earlier this week (Mar-2020) and was trying to cut a branch about 3/4” thick and the head of the pruner snapped. It’s made of plastic, and there’s no way a repair would ever hold. Don’t buy this unless you only cut small twigs.

What a piece of junk

Do yourself a favour and spend the extra $$$ to get a decent product. The blade is thin and flimsy. If it even jams you're done for. The "adjustable" handle to extend the length is completely useless. The first time I extended the pole and the saw bit in to the tree limb, when I pulled back, the clamp slid right off the pole. I re-tightened everything, including the mounting screws and it still does it, so the extension is useless. This item would be useful if you have to cut pieces of string located 4' off the ground. As well, if you simply want something that will make you really angry, this is the tool for the job.

The plastic part near the top of this snapped off during its very first use. Do not buy this product. Canadian Tire gladly took it back and we paid the $20 extra for the Fiskars.

Flimsy Plastic Parts

The head of this tool snapped on the first branch I attempted to trim. It's all plastic. I purchased this tool at 7pm. It was back returned to the store at 8pm. You'd be doing yourself a disservice by saving the $20 buying this one over the next level up tool. Make sure the one you buy is all metal. Thank you.

Q: While using the Jobmate Long-Reach Tree Pruner #59-5020-4 I lost the spring which activate the blade. Where can I get a replacement spring?

Q: Missing parts (screw for saw-blade) Missing screw to attach saw-blade to head (wing-nut is there). Can't use a standard screw/ bolt, this one has square-head that "locks-in" the blade to main unit. Just need screw. Where can you get this part?

Q: Tree Pruner 59-5020-4 I purchased this tool 3 years ago and have found it quite useful. Unfortunately, this past week I managed to break the by-pass blade.
