    I buy 10-year old vehicles often and always add this immediately as the seals harden over time. If a tranny starts acting up or shifting a bit strangely, I try this and it usually solves the problem if done right away and there is no mechanical damage. I've had trannys that won't go into gear start working and go for for years after. My brothers older Mercedes was shifting oddly. I told him to add this. That was two years ago and he is still driving.it.
