Great deal for the price on clearance. A bit finicky to set and not the sturdiest available but works well. Instructions are not so good but can be figured out. Trap lick open feature good for loading trap.

Q: The trap is activated by pressure on the floor plate. Would a ground squirrel (one pound and up) trip the mechanism is the large trap? Thank you.

A: No you’d need the smaller trap for squirrels. The larger one works well with raccoons.

Q: Would I be able to catch a groundhog in this cage and if I was how would I be able to get it out?

A: The larger of the two traps can catch a ground hog. To release, open up the trap from behind and walk away to allow for the animal to leave on its own. You can cover the cage with a towel or blanket to help reduce stress and keep the animal calmer.
