A: You can't stop them. I went on Amazon and found the screws made of vinyl.Cinched in tight and never worried again about them coming loose. The collars you get are not the greatest. A: The diameter of ALEX E-Z Kurl Bar is 1” (25.4mm), so make sure you use grip (collars) for a 1” bar or the weight will fall off the bar.
