The Cap Barbell Strength FID Adjustable Utility Weight Bench is ideal for dumbbell and abdominal exercises. The weight bench features a 6-position back pad for flat, incline, and decline position for bench press options targeting the chest. The back pad is longer than traditional FID benches to support various body types. The weight training bench has a powder-coated finish and is designed with high-density upholstery. Its two-colour leatherette wrap gives the bench a clean, finished look.

Note: The lock nuts have a lining on the inside for the bolts to pass through and tighten. Use a tool to hold the nut while screwing in the bolt as it needs force to actually pass through. Once you have passed through this lining you will be able to tighten all the way down. Also, assemble the bench on a flat and level surface and do not tighten one bolt all the way first, you must tighten them evenly to avoid it being uneven

This is a good basic bench. I wish it had a quick release adjustment because it takes a bit of time to unscrew the bolt and thread it in again when adjusting the bench. Otherwise good!

This bench is garbage. Very cheap materials and can only withstand 300lbs. So think again if you are a 6 foot male. I bought this thinking I could chest press 50lb dumbells and I can’t even do that. Its very light and the materials are super cheap. Not at all worth $170. I wouldn’t pay more than $50.

Seems okay for the price on sale, however mine was missing hardware brand new out of the box. the M10 Knob to lock the bench in different positions was missing. I had to source hardware myself and return was not a simple process because of my location. seems a bit wobbly.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What are the dimensions? What is the height of the bench from the ground? I need to know because I want to do prone exercises for the upper back like rows and flies and I want room for my arms. What is the width of the base? In case I need to elevate it on cinder blocks.

A: The (firm) surface of the bench "cushion" is about 18.5 inches above the ground. The remaining measurements are given in another answer.

Q: Can it be adjusted to be flat just like the Apex Flat Bench listed as well? I just want to make sure it can support a 200lb person + additional weights, when in a 0 degree flat across position.

A: Should be fine, i am 170 lbs and have been using it with over 170 lbs on barbell on a flat position without any problem.

A: This bench is not meant for leg extensions or leg curls. For that, you need a separate piece of equipment. The stated maximum supported weight for the bench is stated at 300 pounds (very light for most lifters).

A: The product warning labels say it is rated for up to 300 lbs. However, while other reviewers have described the product as sturdy, I would disagree. It is not welded but bolted together and the manufacturing QC is poor. Maybe I got a lemon, but mine rocks from side to side because the juctions at the base are not a tight fit.
