    Completely useless scope.

There were two nice features, the extensible sun shade and the adjustable axis. However, those do not make up for a completely useless scope. This product should not be on the market! - it will not focus at any magnification - view becomes dark and cloudy at high magnifications - when trying to focus, the view moves from top right to bottom left!! Once you do find your objective you can't focus on it and if you try the optics move it!! I read the other reviews and thought that the other people trashing this just didn't know what they were doing... I was wrong. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE It's being returned today after 1 use... I wish I could give it a negative number of stars!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Well above expectations.

Have had this product over 6 months. I've used in different situations and have been very surprised on over all performance. Is a little touchy when focusing in on items, only complaints would be tripod is shakey and care is need for distances, when using high zoom and outside edge of sight picture is a little out of focus. Bag for scope is almost unusable when tripod attached. I do like being able to turn scope using metal collar so I do not need to be standing over the scope, also for price good item to toss in backpack with out worrying about breaking something expensive.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

One word to describe this scope..."JUNK"

I bought this scope about a month ago. I took it to the range and set it up. I ultimately wasted my time and gas. All is good at it's lowest setting, but as you increase the power from 20x through 60x, the view finder get's smaller. When maxed out to 60x, it was like looking through the eye of a needle. Don't waste your time on this one no matter how low the price is, it's simply not worth any amount of money.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    3 years of great service

I use my scope at the range for my competitive shooting and it has worked very well for all my needs. Usually shoot at 50 yards but I can see bullet holes on the 100 yard range as well. A year ago my scope fell off the shooting bench and the angled lens came off. I used some epoxy and its as good as new!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great bang for you buck.

I bought this on sale. First one I got home was broken and had a cracked lens. Make sure you check that before taking it home. The second one was great!!!! 20 x, 40x, 60 x all work great! Used it for spoting at the range and even taking pictures with the camera.. Works awesome. I'll give it a 4 star. bang for the buck is spot on. 60x adjustment are really touchy. Works out to a 1000 yards for bird watching.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Is this weather proof, can it be used in the rain. Just asking because I will likely be using this in situations that involve rain or water to view shorebirds and songbirds.

    • A: weather proof and rain proof is irrelevant if you can't get this product to focus. go to a good sports store and buy a REAL name-brand product like bushnell or nikon. you'll pay more but won't regret it. this product is absolutely, 100% awful.

Q: What's the size of the eyepiece focus? I'll be using a universal attachment for dig. camera.

    • A: do not buy this scope, it will not focus at any magnification. The eyepeice does not look like it will accept attachments.

Q: How powerful? What is the magnifying power of this telescope? It looks like an excellent little scope, especially considering it is a Celestron. Would love to know more about it. Thanks!
