Q: how do they stick to the floor and can i use them on granite stairs?

A: The vinyl treads should be adhered using a bonding agent that is suitable for vinyl and whatever the surface is that it is being applied to... For granite, you would need to check that the bonding agent is suitable for that kind of material - this might be best addressed with someone in the hardware area at CT.
