      A decade later..

Purchased this unit in 2006 before I really knew anything about brands and steel and all that. That being said, I regret nothing. I carried this knife in an EDC capacity for around 7 years, working it hard in the landscape and forestry trades. Over the last few years I've been using this as more of a hiking and kayaking knife, but only because my collection has significantly grown! Notable points: - Buck 420hc is, in my experience, the most user friendly steel you'll get at this pricepoint. I own 4 'cheap' bucks and this is common throughout. YMMV. - It's a Sherman tank of a knife. This thing has lived in the dirt with me for close to ten years, it has been used to cut, pry, dig, scrape, open soup cans on occasion, and I've batonned it through tree staking wire.. It's a strong piece of kit, for sure. - After all this time there aren't many trips across the whetstone left in it, but the lock up is still solid. Impressive, given price and all that. Overall, yes this is a five star knife and yes I intend to buy another soon. I would highly recommend this blade.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this knife, put it in my pocket and when i pulled it out 4 hours later the blade, handle and pin had started to rust from sweat.

No, I do not recommend this product.
