Replacing 8hp Cub Kadet original muffler with threaded one

This wasn't the original equipment for my Cub Kadet snow blower, but the 8hp Tecumseh engine had a 3/4" threaded exhaust port, so I screwed it in , tested it, it functions fine, but had to put screw an old square cookie tin cover on top of it all to hold the heat in to simulate how the original square muffler warmed up the Carburetor. Unfortunately I had broken a thread tap in the aluminium head and could not re-mount the original carbureator. Note! keep the muffler mounting bolts tight--on your Cub Kadet because the loose steel bolts will wear away the aluminium head threading, causing the problem that I had.
