Great food processor, but can't get a replacement lid!

I got this as a gift 3 or 4 years ago and used it at least twice a week and loved it! Then the lid cracked, so we got a replacement. Just a few months later, I dropped the new lid and it completely shattered all over the floor like glass. I was surprised it would have broken so dramatically from falling on the floor once. When I went to order a new one, they were unavailable and I've been waiting for months now with no updates! So frustrated that I can't use the food processor, and no estimate on when the new lid will be available. Would have rated it 5 stars if it wasn't totally unusable now!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Plastic bowl is cheaply made!

I actually love the food processor but it is useless now because of the cheaply made bowl. The plastic parts on the bottom of the bowl that clip into the base break. Once that happens, the processor will not turn on and is useless. I cannot believe that for the price they charge for this item, Breville has not addressed this issue, even though it has been brought up numerous times in reviews. And, to make it worse, not only are replacement bowls extremely expensive, but they are never in stock. So, now I have a door stop with alot of useless accessories.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Powerful functional Food Processor

Purchased this unit about one month ago, and am totally surprised at the functionality and power it offers. Easy to clean, yet a very safe unit. All the blades and disks provide lots of options to produce excellent dishes and prepare vegetables and fruit. Love it, should have done it long ago.

Brand new

I just received my new Breville Sous Chef 12, I tried it with onions and carrots, it works great and is a lot quieter than my old clunker. My only question is it did not come with the accessory storage container for all the parts. I tried to look up where to buy one but couldn’t find anything. Is there one? I would love to be able to store all the parts in one container, please help!

700 W only, not 1000

I received the Breville Sous Chef 12 a few days ago. The motor is supposed to be 1000 Watts, which is why I bought it. I needed more power. However, at the bottom of the machine it says it is only 700 Watts. This could explain why it can only handle 4.5 cups nuts. My old 500 W food processor handled 3 cups at a time. I feel utterly betrayed and disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for your review. The BFP660 has 1200 watts. Since the unit is the same for all of North America, the engineering team decided use one sticker for all of the regions. Mexico has a specific compliance requirement that the wattage rating is shown on the label. This is not a requirement in the US or Canada, so the team went with the wattage in Mexico. The 700W para Mexico label that you see there is just for Mexico, and the US and Canada wattage will be the full value listed on the product page.

A: Model BFP660SIL comes with an adjustable slicing disc from 3mm to 8mm, fine coarse reversible shredder, SS axle/spindle, micro-serrated S-blade, and dough blade.
