Horrible taste after 1 month of use.

bought this coffee maker and everything was good, after 1 month of use any coffee made in it got a horrible chemical taste. 1 sip of coffee and it would make me nauseous. same coffee made in a french press was perfect. tried cleaning, using the braun cleaning product for a few clean cycles. nothing worked. couldnt get the horrible taste out of my travel mug.

This product is terrible. The coffee grounds explode everywhere on every. single. use. It gets worse the larger size pot you choose. I cannot believe how poorly this machine works for this price. We are so disappointed with our purchase.

Keep warm not working correctly.

Keep warm setting. This option worked very well for the first month. Brewing a half or full pot, the default warm time is 2 hours. About a week ago I noticed that the keep warm was only on for 30 minutes. I had to add an additional 30 min when it was off. Following instructions, I unplugged the unit and let it sit for a bit. Then I reset the clock and the auto on feature. Still after brewing was complete, the warm time started at 30 minutes. For the next time I again did a reset, no change to the warm time. I have not been able to get it to default back or to adjust/set the keep warm time. Being that this coffee maker is only 2 months old, I will be returning it for a replacement. Hopefully the next one will work okay.

Overpriced for very short lifespan

Display has been messed up since it was 2 months old. Now it's dead at less than 2 years old. Maintained well and cleaned regularly, just badly made. Avoid this one!

Q: what is the heating element made of? Our old Cuisinart was an aluminum coil, which has started to leak, and I worry about aluminum leaching into the coffee.
