Strongly recommend not purchasing this Braun coffee maker. All the 5 stars reviews must be friends and family members from Braun. Original set up was frustrating. The absolute worse option on this coffee maker is the auto clean. Once the machine decides it’s time for auto clean, aside from unplugging it and waiting 10-15 minutes there is no way of stopping it. Additionally, the auto programming should not have 5 different steps. Will be going back to a Cuisinart coffee maker.

Terrible purchase

We have only had this unit for 5 months. Registered it online day one with proof of purchase. Right away was annoyed with how tedious it is to set it every evening for the next morning start, but whatever I can love with it. In the last few weeks the buzzer will randomly scream non stop and the front display buttons don’t work. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug it. This happened multiple times. Now it will stop mid brew randomly and the display flashes like it has lost power. Called warranty line and were told to send them a copy of our receipt even though it should be on file since we “registered” it when we got it. Was told I would get an answer back in 24-48 hours. Three days later I had to email again asking for an answer. They sent me the programming page for turning the end of cycle buzzer off. That’s not the issue. Now theyre not answering. Terrible machine. Know going in you really don’t have any warranty.

bought 2 years ago, mostly worked ok, the buttons are so annoying, as there is no feedback to tell if you are on the spot or not. controls are not intuitive so have to read the manual every time to figure out how to set the timer or anything. about 6 months ago started leaking a bit down the side onto the warming plate while brewing, but we lived with it. last week got an E1 error, which basically means it's a brick as there is no cost effective way to repair
