A: Includes 35 mm plastic ground tube with closable cap - easy to place in concrete Bought the original way too long ago to be sure, but ,I am on my second umbrella and it did not have one. But since then have bought a second spike which was separate and is considered a benefit as I have 2 locations to move my clothes and follow the sun. Also Canadian Tire will take returns if not needed. Cheers

Q: Of the 3 different sizes is the only adjustable height unit the largest? Im 5' tall would like the smaller size but fear the height may be a stretch.

Q: Can this be placed in a regular outdoor umbrella base? We do not have a lawn to put a ground spike in. We live downtown and have a rooftop patio, therefore we cannot anchor this in the ground.

A: The pole diameter is 35mm or 1.37795 inches so you would need to measure the inner diameter of your umbrella stand. Please note that if there is any wind, it will be be steady once loaded with laundry.
