Product Details

The Bosch GCL 2-55 Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser with Plumb Points delivers all-in-one versatility, with highly visible lines and points that can be turned on independently or together. They provide horizontal level, vertical level and plumb transfer applications. The tool features VisiMax™ Technology, which monitors power consumption to maximize line visibility while protecting the laser diode. This laser has a visible range of 40 Ft. The Smart Pendulum System self-levels with an accuracy of up to ±4°, and it indicates out-of-level condition. The manual mode locks lines for use at any angle. The laser comes with the RM 1 Magnetic Rotating Mount that rotates 360° and includes a ceiling grid clip.

I bought this around two years ago for some projects. Now that I finally take it out to use it for the first time, the horizontal line will not work. Never been dropped and never left out in the elements. Not pleased at all.

Won't stop blinking

I bought this 18 months ago and was still in box till yesterday. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the wait ... the unit won't stop blinking. Changed batteries, put it on all kinds of flat surfaces and nothing makes the blinking stop. The blinkin' Bosch is blinkin' like a blinkin' beacon!!

Second purchase--still no success

Started with a cheaper BOSCH model. Would NOT stop blinking. New batteries, mounted on tripod, no mistreatment. When I spent many minutes with very very very fine adjustments to level the tool itself, it would finally stop blinking. Returned that one. Bought this one, 2x price. same exact problem. If the mounting/resting surface is the slightest bit out of level, it will NOT stop blinking. I don't work for NASA, on micro-precision projects. I do home remodeling. Please make a laser level that is made for real world conditions. There's simply no way this is up to your (BOSCH) standards of quality and reliability. Now making a 3rd trip, to buy a competitor's product.

Bosch laser level

Bought this for a deck repair project, but have been using it in place of spirit level all around the house. It isn’t bright enough for me to see in the sunlight over more than about 10’, ended up waiting until dusk for my purpose. Has a loose bit of plastic on side which clicks like a button but seems to be a defect or damage.. Not affecting its use and otherwise well built. If I were to buy a laser again, I would prioritize getting something smaller and brighter. But I got it on a clearance price, and I feel it’s good value.
