    Nice made in Germany grinder

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review was submitted as an entry for a review sweepstakes. Bought the GWS10-45P grinder as was looking for a casual use, but powerful, grinder for concrete work. I had tried a competitors "made in China" special and it was lacking. The Bosch unit feels sturdy, a little heavy, though well balanced and secure. Mounting and adjusting the guard is a little fiddley, though workable. I also have a Bosch CSB 420-E hammer drill purchased over 40 years ago that still works great and lives up to it's made in Switzerland reputation. Country of origin is important to me.

    I use this grinder at my job. It is a good quality tool. I like the two position handle. I find locking the paddle into on position a little difficult.

    I would prefer to have a model with a more narrow handle, and a traditional switch. However, this was the only model in stock that worked with the Bosch dust shroud collector. Other than being a little on the bulky side, and having a non-conventional switch, this is a top-notch tool.

    Great Paddle Grinder

    I bought the grinder for use in heavy truck and trailer repair. I’ve owned it for about 4 months and in that time the thing has kicks some serious butt. I needed a smaller 4 1/2” for certain areas and this one fits right into that need, small areas that need hit hard quick! Im a big paddle fan and this one is pretty skookum. Definitely would buy again! Also want to add this is my first Bosch product I’ve owned, would def look at the other angle grinder options after my experience with this one.

    When my 18V isnt up to the task

    I have a Bosch 18V cordless grinder that I like a lot for smaller jobs that benefit from it's portability. I got this grinder for tougher jobs where I can grind throuigh tough metal and not worry about battery life. So far so good. I like the feel and power. I just wish the mechanism that locks the arbor for disc removal was easieer to engage.
